The Awards evening has been voted a success in terms of the quality and variety of entrants and the range of businesses represented. People who had not entered an award came to meet entrants who were new to our network enjoyed it because we went briskly through the presentations. The Bedford Swan Hotel could not have done more for us, even drying people who got wet on the way! I'm told the food was good - too nervous to check it out much myself.
But improvements are always possible.

So far:

1. Nag winners to turn up - 3 people missed their presentations. This is a shame for them and an embarrassment for myself and the award sponsor.

2. Just 3 more awards to give more businesses a chance to be recognised for their excellence

1. Venue: Good at Wwan, but more central? Woburn Golf Club? Inn at Woburn?

2. M.P. to open but guest speaker for mid-way through? Have a break of some sort? Music?

3. Key note speaker at end?

4. Offer to reserve a table for groups with an option to order wine in advance

5. Sit-down meal - consult venue

6. Team up with other networks for 2011?

 Any thoughts?
